“Provide an ongoing demonstration of love for my wife.

If I really love my children, I will give them the gift of confidence and security in their parents’ relationship.

Give my wife so much love it embarrasses the children!”

Jeff Miles

We made a commitment to one another the day we said “I do.” My role as husband hasn’t changed as it’s also shifted to father. The more children we’ve added to our family, the more observant I’ve tried to be of my wife’s needs. Acts of service speak loudly these days with 5 kids at home. Just the other morning our youngest woke up fussy. I knew my wife was trying to enjoy a cup of coffee and fully wake up herself, so I took our daughter (who likes to cling to mommy) and distracted her to help prepare breakfast. It meant enough to my wife to snap this picture. It was a simple automatic act on my end, but something she appreciated.⁣ .⁣ Obviously this little example isn’t the only thing that keeps our marriage strong, we still do the big things like regular date nights and time away as husband and wife, but it’s the little, every day things that add up to make a big difference.
